Nancy Pelosi was shown a montage of Democrats calling for her resignation and she was NOT pleased, to say the least.
The compilation was shown to her moments before her interview with the crew of “CBS This Morning”, and she was visibly flustered. She instantly started mumbling an incoherent rebuttal; “Well, I mean, you know. I’m here and hearing all those other people. They had their time on TV“, she snapped.
“This is such a small item“, she said, trying to divert attention away from her being shredded by her own party. “It’s not about me, our fight is about the Affordable Care Act.”
Then, Charlie Rose pushed her; “Yes, but you’ve been losing special elections, and your own party is saying that the Democratic party has no message.”
Watch this series of events unfold:
A growing chorus of House Democrats are calling for the Minority Leader to step down.
New York Congresswoman Kathleen Rice openly called for Pelosi’s resignation last week, saying democrats need to have new leadership if they hope to retake the House in 2018.
Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton also agrees that Nancy’s time as leader has come to an end. While being interviewed on CNN, he said, “This is certainly something that we have to discuss because it’s clear that […] across the board in the Democratic Party we need new leadership. It’s time for a new generation of leadership in the party.”
Congressmen Filemon Vela Jr. of Texas and Tim Ryan of Ohio have also called on Pelosi to step aside.
Do YOU think she should step aside? Or should we keep her on so we can perpetually laugh at her?
