We knew it would come sooner or later, and here it is. Scott Pelley, the host of CBS Evening News, is now blaming Republicans – yes, REPUBLICANS for the attempted mass-assassination baseball practice last week.
Pelley said that the attack was, “to some degree, self-inflicted”.
“It’s time to ask whether the attack on the United States Congress, yesterday, was foreseeable, predictable and, to some degree, self-inflicted,” Pelley said. “Too many leaders, and political commentators, who set an example for us to follow, have led us into an abyss of violent rhetoric which, it should be no surprise, has led to violence.”
Pelley went on to cite examples of “violent rhetoric”, including President Trump declaring several news outlets “the enemy of the American People,” that he believes led to last week’s shooting.
In one of his examples, Pelley points to the time where Trump called the media “the enemy of the people”, which is obviously a “dodge”. Instead of pointing to the violent LEFT-WING rhetoric aimed at Trump & the Republican party, Pelley talked about “right-wing” rhetoric.
Despite his insistence that the two were related, Pelley failed to explain how President Trump’s criticism of the media led to Wednesday’s shooting of GOP lawmakers.
Either way, he is part of the liberal media, so this belief (even though it’s completely false), will probably get high praise from CNN, the NY Times, and MSNBC.
When will the liberal media bias ever end? You would think that an embarrassing 2016 election defeat would help them learn their lesson. Apparently they’ve learned absolutely NOTHING!
