That’s because Cubans continue to suffer because Obama made no negotiations with the Cuban government to ensure basic human rights.
Despite what the liberal media has been reporting President Trump is doing a great job.
According to One America News Network:
Nicole Malliotakis, a NYS Assemblywoman who is running for NYC mayor, said the Cuban people are suffering immensely, and don’t have access to essential goods like toothpaste and razors.
Malliotakis said while the people are working for extremely low wages, they are treated like slaves.
And are jailed if they speak out against the government.
“These people are living under a truly oppressive regime, and its really sad when you see it up close and personal. Many Americans think this is just about cigars and Cuban rum; no, these are peoples whose lives have been destroyed. My mother fled Cuba and she never saw her father again,” Malliotakis said.
Malliotakis said that President Obama made no negotiations with the Cuban government to ensure basic human rights for the Cuban people.
And the Cuban people who fled this oppressive regime are in support of President Trump’s policy.
“They are very much in support of his decision to change some of the things that President Obama put in place. And not all the things have been removed, but I think that the current president has taken a hardline approach to say we’re open to moving forward and having a discussion how do we normalize relations, but it has to be a two way street, and that’s something we didn’t see under the previous administration,” Malliotakis said.
Malliotakis said President Trump won the Cuban community’s vote in Florida, and normalizing relations with Cuba with no negotiation is against everything the United States stands for.”
